Winter’s Like a Crusty Old Cat

 

Listen to me,

You silly bird

Has no one told you –

Haven’t you heard?

The winter’s here

Are long and cold

Pay attention now

You’re being told!

Go South!

Get going!

Any time now

It may be snowing

There’ll be sleet and hail

And a mean wind blowing

Winter is here!

Didn’t you know that?

And winter’s like

A crusty old cat –

Ice on his whiskers

Frost on his paws
