In 2008, Faith Ford decided she wanted to start a pet crematory business in the east metro area. She admired the business operations of the Decatur-based pet cremation service Paws, Whiskers and Wags, and strived to provide a similar service in Conyers and Covington.
“There was no one here good who was affordable,” Ford said. “I said, ‘We deserve, outside of the Perimeter, a good company to take care of our beloved pets,’ and so I opened up Faithful Friends cremation.” Read the Entire Article Here
One night I lay in bed trying to sleep
But outside I could hear something
………..creep, creep, creep
I grabbed the pillow off my bed
And pulled it down right over my head
But still I heard something and wanted to scream!
Maybe just maybe, it was only a dream.
Frightened and quivering, I sat up in bed
Toward the window, I saw a hairy head
Two yellow eyes and funny pointed ears
Not short as a squirrel or long as a dear
When all of a sudden thought the air it came
Cirrus Weddington
A memorial to a loving and faithful friend and companion
Cirrus was a fluffy Bichon. He entered this world on the 26th of February, 1996. After 15 plus wonderful years his body gave up the fight and he departed this realm on July 29th, 2011.
You might wonder how Cirrus got his name. When we brought him home he was a tiny, white ball of fluffy hair. He was small and light and his wispy hair was stirred by the breeze as he sat in the backyard grass. He reminded us of the white, fine strands of cirrus clouds that float gently through the summer sky. It was a good choice, for he has always brought us the same kind of joy and exhilaration one feels when experiencing a summer afternoon graced by the elegance of cirrus clouds.

As any animal lover knows, it doesn’t take long for them to steal your heart forever – especially the rescued souls who were given a second chance. For us, adopting our Dalmatian changed our lives forever. He got us started in fostering, animal rescue and even led us on a new career path. He is the reason we opened Second Life, a new upscale thrift store in Avondale Estates that benefits homeless pets.
